Made your website with Bolt? Add the Refari embed code to your careers page through Bolt’s chat or Code view, and the page shows your live jobs, job alerts and referral forms, with applications sent to your ATS.
Bolt has no embed element and no site-wide setting for custom code: its project settings cover General, Domains & Hosting, Analytics, Knowledge and Backups. So the Refari code goes into your project’s files, either through the chat or by hand in Code view.
1
Copy Your Code From Refari
Sign in to Refari as an Admin or Manager, open Widgets, pick the job board and its colours, then press COPY ALL. The block holds the Refari scripts and the empty container the board fills.
2
Ask Bolt’s Chat to Place It
Paste the example prompt below into the chat, with your code where it says. Every prompt uses tokens, so one clear request beats several small ones.
3
Or Edit the File in Code View
Click the code icon (<>) at the top centre, open your careers page from the Files list, add the code and press Save (Ctrl+S, or Cmd+S on a Mac). Code view edits cost no tokens; it works in a desktop browser and is read-only in Safari and on mobile.
4
Publish, or Update Once Live
Your changes stay in the editor until you open the Publish menu and click Publish, or Update once the site is live. Then visit the careers page on its bolt.host address, or on your own domain if you are on a paid plan.
5
Point Refari at the Page
In Refari, go to Settings > Job Board Settings and set the Base URL to the published careers page, so links in job alerts and emails land there.
6
Test a Form on the Live Site
Open a job, start an application and watch the reCAPTCHA. If it loads with no “Invalid domain” message, the code is running in the page and applications will reach your ATS.
Example prompt for Bolt’s chat
Add the Refari job board to our careers page at /careers (create the page, and a link to it in the main navigation, if there isn’t one).
[paste the COPY ALL code from Refari here]
How to place it:
- Keep the container div and its id exactly as pasted, in the careers page, full width, with no fixed height.
- Run the Refari scripts in their original order. Load the Refari loader script once for the whole site, checking first that it is not already on the page, so it is never added twice.
- Run the configuration only after the loader has loaded, and run it each time the careers page mounts, not only on the first visit.
- Do not put raw script tags inside JSX or dangerouslySetInnerHTML, and never place the code inside an iframe or embed element.
- Keep the page address’s query string and the part after # when the careers page loads, and make sure a direct visit to /careers does not return a 404.
- If this is a Next.js project, make a client component that renders the container and loads the loader with next/script, and run the configuration in that Script’s onReady callback.
Tell me which framework this project uses and which files you changed.
Swap the square-bracket line for the block you copied. It already holds your API key, so send the prompt once and you are done with the chat.
Where Bolt Job Boards Usually Go Wrong
The Refari code itself rarely fails. Where it lands in a Bolt project, and where you test it, is what to check first.
Scripts Pasted as Markup
React does not run script tags written into JSX or added through dangerouslySetInnerHTML, so the container stays empty and no error appears.
Ask the chat to load the loader once and run the configuration after it has loaded.
Testing in the Editor Preview
Bolt’s preview runs inside the Bolt editor, on a different address from your published site, so it is no guide to how the board behaves.
Publish, then test the published address.
Code That Runs Only on First Load
Sites built as single-page apps swap pages without reloading. Configuration that runs only when the site first opens won’t start the board when someone comes back to careers, and a loader added on every visit ends up on the page more than once.
Load the loader once, and run the configuration each time the careers page mounts.
“Invalid Domain” on the Application Form
reCAPTCHA shows this when the code runs in a frame, which has no address of its own. Job links and filters break with it.
Keep the code in the page itself and never add it with an iframe tool.
Job Links That Lose the Job
The board records the open job after the # in the address, and job alert emails link with ?job= and the job. Whether both survive depends on your project’s router and hosting, and Bolt does not document either.
Paste an open job’s address into a new tab, and click a job link in a Refari alert email.
The Free Plan’s Hosting Cap
On Free, Bolt hosting allows 10 GB and 333,333 requests a month across all your sites, then takes them offline until the next cycle. Pro raises that to 30 GB and 1 million requests, with pay as you go beyond.
Watch your usage if the careers page is busy, or move to a paid plan.

Why the Widget Works in What Bolt Publishes
Bolt, made by StackBlitz, builds websites and web apps from a chat. It works with JavaScript frameworks that run in the browser, and publishes the project’s own build to a free bolt.host address, to your own domain on a paid plan, or to Netlify.
Nothing in that output wraps your code in a frame. A Refari widget is a short set of scripts and an empty container, so once they sit in your careers page they run in the page’s own document, which is exactly where job links, filters and reCAPTCHA need them.
The same code works on bolt.host and on a custom domain
Your jobs live in Refari and your ATS, never in Bolt’s files
Job board, job alerts, referral and registration forms all go in the same way
Placing the code by hand in Code view uses no tokens
What Each ATS Brings to a Bolt Board
Whichever ATS you use, the same embed code goes into your Bolt project. What differs is what travels between that ATS and Refari, and the one thing worth checking on a Bolt site.
JobAdder
What flows
Refari’s own two-way integration: new and expired ads update straight away by webhook, edits follow within a few hours, and stages come back. Applications, registrations and referrals go into JobAdder (referrals logged there come back too), and screener answers fill the fields you map under Tools > Question Mapping.
Watch for on Bolt
Job alert links follow your Base URL. When you move from the bolt.host address to your own domain, change the Base URL in Refari the same day, or alerts keep sending candidates to the old address.
Through the Refari Integrator, Loxo webhooks bring published, Active jobs to Refari within minutes. Applications, registrations and referrals go into Loxo and Refari reads your Loxo stages back; screener answers are not written to Loxo.
Watch for on Bolt
Loxo’s own careers page stays as it is. Don’t let Bolt’s chat embed it beside the Refari board, in an iframe or otherwise: one list of jobs, in the page itself.
Refari picks up public Atlas projects about every 10 minutes, with a full check every six hours. Applications, registrations and referrals go back to Atlas, and candidate stages come back for referral tracking and TopRec review requests on placement.
Watch for on Bolt
Give a newly saved project 10 to 12 minutes before you test the published Bolt page, rather than spending chat prompts on a board that is simply waiting for the next check.
Seven20 built this integration on Refari’s API for its Salesforce-based recruitment CRM. Jobs come in, applications and registrations go to Seven20, referrals stay in Refari, and candidate stages are not sent back.
Watch for on Bolt
If a role is missing from your Bolt board, open it in Seven20 before you touch the page: Refari rejects a job without a title, category, work type, location, recruiter or closing date.
RecruitWizard built its integration with Refari. Jobs come in, applications, registrations and referrals go to RecruitWizard, and candidate stages are not sent back.
Watch for on Bolt
Make every job change in RecruitWizard. Expire or repost a job from Refari and later RecruitWizard updates stop reaching it, which looks like a stuck Bolt board but has nothing to do with the page.
Run these on the published address, in a private browser window, before you share the careers page with candidates.
The board lists your live jobs, and the filters change the list
An open job’s address, pasted into a new tab, opens the same job
A job link in a Refari job alert email opens that job on your careers page
The application form’s reCAPTCHA loads with no “Invalid domain” message
A test application arrives in your ATS
Leaving the careers page and coming back still shows the board
Google for Jobs: What a Widget Can’t Add
Bolt gives you a quick way to build and own your site, and a Refari widget turns its careers page into a working job board. Google for Jobs asks for more than that: a separate page for each job, marked up as a job posting, while a widget lists your jobs inside one page. Refari Websites 2.0 provides those pages, because Refari builds and hosts the site and every job gets a page of its own.

What recruitment teams ask before they put a Refari job board on a website they built with Bolt.
Does Refari work with websites built in Bolt?
Yes. Bolt publishes your project’s own build, and Refari widgets are plain JavaScript, so once the embed code is in your careers page the board runs there and shows your live jobs.
Where does the Refari code go in a Bolt project?
In your project’s files. Bolt has no embed element or site-wide code setting, so ask the chat to add the code to your careers page, or open Code view and edit the careers page file yourself.
Can I add the job board on Bolt’s Free plan?
Yes. Adding code works on Free, and the site is published to a bolt.host address. Connecting your own domain and removing the “Made in Bolt” badge need a paid plan (Pro is $25 a month).
Does adding the board use Bolt tokens?
Only if you use the chat. Bolt does not charge tokens for editing in Code view, so pasting the code into the careers page file yourself costs nothing.
Why is the job board blank in Bolt’s preview?
Because the preview is not your live site. It runs inside the Bolt editor on a different address, so publish your changes and test the board on your bolt.host address or your own domain.
Will the board work if I put the code in an iframe?
No. Inside a frame the form’s reCAPTCHA reports “Invalid domain”, and job links and filters fail. Bolt’s published output does not frame your code, so keep the code in the page and avoid any iframe tool.
Do job links from Refari job alerts work on a Bolt site?
They should, as long as your project’s router keeps the query string and the part after #. Bolt does not document routing, so test on the live site: open a job and paste its address into a new tab, then click a job link in a Refari job alert email. If both open the job, your links work.
Can I use my own domain for a Bolt careers site?
Yes, on a paid plan such as Pro. Publish first, then open the gear icon, All project settings, Domains & Hosting and Connect a domain you own, and add the DNS records Bolt shows. It can take up to 24 hours; then update the Base URL in Refari.
Will Google index the jobs on my Bolt careers page?
It can crawl a public Bolt site, but check what it sees. The job board loads your jobs with JavaScript after the page opens, so run the careers page through a URL inspection tool to see what Google gets. Google for Jobs needs a page per job, which comes with a website Refari builds.
Does the job board code survive if I connect Bolt to GitHub?
Yes. The Refari code is part of your files, and Bolt commits your project to GitHub automatically and checks every 30 seconds for changes made outside Bolt. Just keep the code in place if someone edits the careers page in the repository.
Which ATS can I connect to a Bolt site through Refari?
JobAdder, Loxo, Atlas, Seven20 and RecruitWizard. Your jobs come from the ATS through Refari, and applications from your Bolt site go back to it; what else flows depends on the ATS.
