One of the great things about the Refari SaaS job-boarding technology, is that it enables us to A/B test at scale quickly. For those not familiar with the concept of an A/B test, A/B testing is a method of comparing two versions of a webpage or app against each other to determine which one performs better. Therefore we can test subtle changes in the job board design and functionality to incrementally improve the job board and its’ candidate acquisition. Since we do this ‘live’ with our client’s real job boards, we can get the results of this test much quicker than if it was done on an individual job board. As a result, all of our clients benefit when we roll out the optimal solution across all of their sites.
The great thing is we genuinely love doing them, it is truly rewarding to come up with a hypothesis about something that might improve the candidate conversion rate, test it, and then either be proven right or wrong. We have completed dozens of tests to incrementally improve our clients job boards and thus their candidate conversion rate.
Today we rolled out the results of a simple one. ‘Field Validation’ we are happy to talk about this one because quite frankly it is pretty obvious.
If it isn’t clear what the field validation is, it’s simply the green ticks to show users they have filled in those fields correctly. It is small, it is subtle, but our tests show it makes the process of receiving a candidate application x% more likely.
The other interesting thing is that effects of candidate acquisition optimisations do not simply add together, it isn’t 2% + 2% + 4% + 5% + 7%, it is a compounding increase in conversion rate.
So it would be 102% x 102% x 104% x 105% x 107%. In short, the Refari job boarding solution is greater than the sum of its parts.
